Robert Meltzer, MA, Rocky Mountain Educational Planning, Westminster, CO, 303-650-2944, announced that the Wilderness Therapy Symposium dates are September 15, 2006 through September 17, 2006. This symposium brings together clinicians, wilderness guides, field instructors, university faculty, students, staff members from residential schools and treatment centers, educational consultants, and other interested parties to share specific skills through hands-on, experiential workshops.

Registration costs are $325 or $275 if participants register on or before August 15, 2006.

By facilitating the conscious incorporation of nature into the therapeutic process, wilderness therapy prepares professionals and students to guide others along the path of personal development, healing, and problem solving with skill, wisdom and compassion.

The Wilderness Therapy Symposium is for you if you are:

  • Working IN the field of wilderness therapy
  • Interested in working in the field of wilderness therapy
  • Working WITH the field of wilderness therapy

Call for Presenters:
We are still gathering proposals for workshops. Proposals are due on March 20.
