College Excel, a nationally recognized support program for college-age youth, recently inaugurated its new classroom and coaching facility, The Academic Center for Excellence.

The 1,500 square-foot Academic Center for Excellence includes tutoring and study rooms, an intimate 15-student classroom, a computer lab with eight fully equipped workstations, wireless Internet for students to use with personal laptops and the College Excel academic offices.

"From the warmth of the fireplace to the contemporary design, we've built every aspect of The Academic Center for Excellence to create a comfortable, welcoming environment where students feel free to work and to discover their individual learning styles," says Sue Harless, College Excel academic director and co-founder.  "The Academic Center for Excellence is not institutional.  This is an engaging place that creates an enticing atmosphere in which students want to learn."

The Academic Center for Excellence is strategically situated adjacent to Oregon State University - Cascades and Central Oregon Community College, where College Excel students can take additional courses and tutoring, and minutes from College Excel's Community House, where students receive personal guidance and daily support from CE's team of certified life coaches.

About College Excel:
