| Description
This person is responsible for Student Life at a female adolescent
emotional growth boarding school. Interested applicants must possess
common sense, good personal boundaries / judgment, effective communication
skills, organizational skills, ability to see the big picture, qualities
of an effective team member, ability to create agreement, solution
oriented problem solving and willingness to be a responsible role
model demonstrating accountability. Sustaining professional conduct
is a necessity. Applicant needs to be aligned with vision and philosophy
of Spring Ridge Academy and represents it to their department and
other departments, clients and parents.
Duties include:
- Group process and group facilitation
- Creative behavioral and emotional interventions and plans
- Parent communication
- Peer mediation
- Field trip coordination
- Management of Student Government Funds
- Mentoring and coaching staff , Assist community staff in maintaining
consistency through creating alignment with program philosophy
through interactions with students
- Crisis Management and effectiveness with teenage girls who
have a background of trauma, substance abuse, oppositional behaviors,
anxiety, depression and operate in extremes.
- Organization of Student activities and Student Groups including
student positions and roles
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in psychology, education, recreation
or related field.
- Experience/Skills: One year experience in related field; prefer
experience with adolescents
- Behavioral Health: Meet all Behavioral Health requirements
- Fingerprint verification check; Health examination; TB test;
CPR and First Aid Certified; sign all agreements as required

Therapist |

Job Description:
This position is responsible for the therapy care for a minimum
caseload of thirteen students. The care includes individual therapy
sessions, working with the family to include them in the therapy
process, and directs and supports the movement of the student through
the Phase Program at Spring Ridge Academy. The position reports
directly to the Clinical Director, is aligned with vision and philosophy
of Spring Ridge Academy and represents it to their department and
other departments, clients and parents.
Job Qualifications:
Education: masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology,
Counseling, or Social Work from an accredited college or university.
Experience:
At least 3 years post terminal degree experience in counseling.
Certification:
Be licensure eligible in the State of Arizona.
Behavioral Health:
Meet all Behavioral Health requirements ? Fingerprint verification
check; Health examination; TB test; CPR and First Aid Certified;

Spanish/French Teacher |
| Description:
This Teacher participates, as a member of the teaching staff, in
directing learning of all students in the area of Foreign Language.
This position is accountable to the Academic Director for performance
of assigned responsibilities; coordinates work with other faculty
members and relates role to building Spring Ridge Academy programs
and objectives. Is aligned with vision and philosophy of Spring
Ridge Academy and represents it to their department and other departments,
clients and parents.
Key duties include:
- Planning for teaching: Within the framework
of goals established by the school system, plans the long-and-short-range
objectives for each assigned course; collects and utilizes a wide
variety of information to aid in guiding the growth and development
of individual pupils; selects meaningful subject matter and related
learning experiences appropriate to various stages of pupils development;
selects and utilizes instructional strategies appropriate to attainment
of intended goals
- Motivating Pupils: Establishes standards for
individual pupils in terms of ability level of each; uses a variety
of activities to develop pupils? curiosity and discoveries; varies
instruction appropriately to accommodate individual learning styles
- Developing a Classroom Climate: Creates a
classroom climate conducive to pupils? intellectual, social, emotional
and moral development
- Managing the Classroom: Controls pupils behavior
and activities so that they contribute positively to accomplishment
of goals and objectives
- Interacting with the Pupils: Utilizes concept
information, principles, and generalization in helping pupils
understand subject matter
- Evaluating Pupils: Evaluates pupil performance
continuously to determine nature and extent of direction needed
to attain goals
- Maintaining Parent Contact: Reports grades
and progress reports in a timely manner and contact parents when
needed for parent support
- Special assignments as directed by Education Administrator
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of 4-year accredited college;
professional preparation and academic major in Foreign Language
- Skills, knowledge, abilities: Functions effectively
as a member of an instruction team; organizes and works effectively
with small seminar groups; maintains strong commitment to the
Language program and team teaching; has ability to develop program
plans in cooperating with students, parents and staff; works effectively
with Spring Ridge Academy staff; has ability to adapt to differences
and changes in pupil characteristics, program characteristics;
has desire and ability to make decisions that go beyond directions
from curriculum and instruction guidelines; has desire and ability
to achieve close relations with students without emphasis on the
authority relationships
- Experience: Experience in teaching Foreign
Language in a secondary school
- Certification: State of Arizona Teaching Certificate
