Licensed Clinical Therapist

Reports To: Clinical Director

It is our policy to allow for transfers only after the first six months of employment. We believe that the introductory period is one of learning about the company and is usually best done under the guidance of one supervisor whenever possible. We also believe that most of our jobs require at least a six month learning curve, and that it would be difficult to transfer and succeed in the new position during that time frame. RESPONSIBILITIES: Initial clinical evaluations, individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, act as clinical liaison to programs, responsible for written communication on clinical status of students, verbal communications with third party reviewers, families and program faculty. May be utilized in clinical training of staff. Must be able to interact with Insurance Managed care companies as indicated. The ability to handle a large caseload under stress.

REQUIREMENTS: Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Studies, Psychology or equivalent. Must be license eligible in State of Idaho. Prefer a minimum of two years adolescent residential or in-patient experience. Must have in-depth knowledge and experience in adolescent psychodynamics, good written and verbal communication skills, psychometric experience and ability preferred. Must have assertive personality and be a proactive team player.

HOURS: Full Time Regular status forty hours per week. Some weekend work may be required. Rotating on-call duties will be required.

SALARY: Licensed therapist scale $44,664 - $53,597 dependent on education, licensure and years of experience. Unlicensed $36,912 - $44,295

IES is a 24 hour, 7 day a week operation. Hours will be determined based on the needs of our students and employees can expect to work varied schedules.

Clinical Therapists Northern Idaho

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Clinical Therapist is responsible for preparing initial assessments, progress notes, staffing updates and discharge summaries. Conducts initial interviews with each child and composes initial assessment to include: primary symptoms, treatment plan, diagnostic impressions, mental status and initial case summary. Meets with each child, as necessary, and provides clinical documentation to review concerns, mental status and action plan. Completes a discharge summary for each child, describing progress towards designated treatment goals, case summary and recommendations. Attends weekly clinical staff meetings to review each child's progress, exchange information, offer clinical recommendations and revise goals as needed. Attends daily Flash meetings and exchanges information with team. Conducts clinical concurrent reviews with insurance case management, as needed, to help obtain third party payments and responds to requests for documentation. Follows all safety procedures and conducts working in the safest manner possible to protect children, staff and property.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in Social Work and knowledgeable with DSM IV. State Licensure and/or CADC certification strongly preferred. Proven experience with substance abuse counseling and family systems. Must demonstrate professional communication skills. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. Experience working with families, insurance and managed care companies a plus. Must have demonstrated telephone skills in using initiative and assertiveness, while maintaining excellent customer relations.

WORK SCHEDULE: Full time year round and seasonal positions now available. Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Some field work may be required. Seasonal positions run from May - September.

SALARY: $3075+/mo non-licensed therapists or $3722+/mo licensed therapists. Salary dependent on education, licensure and experience. Comprehensive benefits package available following 30 days of employment.
