Program Therapist/Clinical Team

Description:
We at Coral Reef Academy are looking to add a program therapist to our Clinical Team. Our population is adolescent boys ages 13-18 and the therapist would carry a caseload of 10-11. The selected candidate would be responsible for maintaining their caseload, writing student treatment plans providing individual therapy sessions, group therapy, working with the families to make them a part of the therapeutic process, maintaining email contact with families and referring professionals, coordinating and working with other professionals involved in the treatment process, maintaining proper documentation and monthly reporting of the process, acting as a member of our multi-disciplinary Treatment Team, and providing the best care possible to their clients.

The proper candidate would have excellent inter-personal skills, be able to work well in an interdisciplinary team setting, be able to interface well with other professionals, be compassionate, energetic, and have the ability to work well in a South Pacific setting. The candidate must also have good computer skills and be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

We are located on the beautiful island of Samoa in the picturesque South Pacific. We are a therapeutic boarding school working with students and their families from various experiences and backgrounds. We offer a unique experience for our students, which allow them to gain the experience of living in and learning about another culture. Coral Reef Academy has been working with students since 1996 and we hope to continue a tradition of excellence that has given us the opportunity to work with such a remarkable group of young men.

Qualifications:
Educational Requirements- The therapist should have a minimum of a Master's level degree in Marriage and family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a Masters degree in a related field. All candidates being considered should have their degree from a regionally accredited institution.

Experience:
The proper candidate should have a minimum of three years experience with direct client care counseling. Preferably at least two years experience counseling in Residential settings. All experience should be post graduate degree.

Licensure/Certification:
The therapist must be licensed or certified by a recognized board. All candidates must pass a background check and criminal history verification.
