meetra's poem
Where I Am At is a word list poem composed by one of the girls during Poetry and Recovery Group. Each girl was asked to write an "I AM" statement. Each girl read and discussed her poem out loud. Meetra's poem was used during group process discussion and the focus was on the last two lines. In this manner, poetry is used at Cottonwood as a vehicle for self-disclosure and self-discovery.
