The Montcalm Schools are part of Starr Commonwealth and offer private referral, therapeutic residential treatment programs for boys and girls based on the PPC model. The programs offer strength-based therapeutic and educational services for young men and women who may be experiencing family conflict, ADD/ADHD/ attention issues, Asperger's Syndrome, learning disabilities/ differences, oppositional behaviors, substance abuse issues and other behavioral issues.
In addition, they also offer a specialized program for social growth called Outside In. This program is for youth ages 12-21 who have been diagnosed with PDD, ADHD and Asperger's Syndrome. Norm explained Montcalm has a transitional living program called Crossroads, as well. This supervised, on-campus transitional living program gives youth ages 17-21 a chance to work in the community or continue their education while practicing independent life skills in an apartment-like setting.
