John Brekke founder of Wilderness Treatment Center (Marion, MT) was posthumously awarded the Montana Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors' (MAADAC) Lifetime Achievement Award. The award was accepted by Nancy and Robert Brekke in Missoula, MT on October 23, 2014.

MAADAC's Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to John and Nancy Brekke for their more than 30 years of outstanding dedication to the needs and recovery of adolescent and young adult men. John and Nancy Brekke started Wilderness Treatment Center in 1983, and since its inception, have helped thousands of young men achieve sobriety. Wilderness Treatment Center has grown into one of the top drug and alcohol treatment programs for young men in the entire world. Wilderness Treatment Center would like to thank MAADAC and Roger Curtiss for the honor.
