Joining host Lon Woodbury on K4HD.com- The Woodbury Report- his guest Randy Russell will talk about the many transitions to adulthood, whether that term includes; ‘soulful adulthood’ or ‘true adulthood’ and what the two different terms mean. Randy has been mentoring young people and their families into ‘soulful’ adulthood for over 40 years. He has designed and directed four successful programs for launching young adults and currently works with stalled college aged and older young people at his program: InnerPathWorks. With his wife, Colleen, together the two have facilitated workshops for parents on how to successfully launch their young adults and move into adulthood.
Randy and Lon will discuss what roles parents, family and the community play in the transition into adulthood and ask the questions- When do parents need to start planning for launching their children? What impact does the transition have on the parents?
As far as the young people themselves, Lon will ask Randy his opinion on-what components go into becoming an adult? What is a rite of passage and why would you use one? And can you accidentally become a true adult?
