Charlotte Bouscaren recently stopped by Woodbury Reports on her way through the area visiting programs in the NorthWest.

Charlotte is the Director of Admissions and Family Services for Ferguson BHC. She helps manage families through the initial admissions process, communicates with and visits programs, facilitates family meetings and provides transport services.

Five years ago, Charlotte started her career in this field at AIM House in Boulder, CO, which specializes in helping young adults transition from primary treatment programs or outdoor therapeutic programs back into real life, learning about sobriety and life skills, while also providing educational, vocational and therapeutic support. She worked as a mentor and admissions counselor there, and then became the Director of Admissions.

Charlotte earned her Bachelor of Arts in Transpersonal Psychology from Naropa University with a minor in early childhood education. Charlotte has received trainings in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and attends meditation and mindfulness workshops regularly.

She loves working with the families at the forefront of this process and getting the privilege to witness major growth in the whole family system. She enjoys sharing her personal journey in recovery from addiction and connecting with the families needing help and in crisis now. In her free time, Charlotte loves to be active: hiking, snowboarding and practicing yoga, and has recently moved from Boulder to Santa Barbara.

Ferguson BHC is company of behavioral health consultants that provides support for addiction recovery and helps the family develop a specific plan for crisis solution.
