Today's special guest on LA Talk Radios "Parent Choices for Struggling Teens" was Chelsea Krost, 21, a expert on millennial lifestyles and the radio host of The Chelsea Krost Show. Chelsea discussed the rampant problem of cyber bullying with Lon and his co-host David Brinkman, and how technology today for those in generation Y, has made cyber bullying a real problem for today's youth.

"Kids have always been mean, but with today's technology bullying nowadays is rampant and anonymous." Chelsea went on to expand that texting, emails, Facebook and Twitter and MySpace are often open prey for those who bully by posting and commenting on pictures and videos, while doing so anonymously. "There have been too many instances of suicides due to cyber bullying." Using the recent bullying of the bus rider in New York and the posting of the video on YouTube as a prime example of the cruelty that cyber bullying creates.

It is important that parents talk to their kids about social media and the effects that cyber bullying has on others. "This generation is in a dark time due to unemployment, money worries, terrorism and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. We need to be kinder to each other and help each other."
