Since 1994, Vista Taos Renewal Center has provided treatment for adult men and women seeking help with alcohol and chemical dependency. As a duel diagnosis facility, they also treat the various co-occurring disorders associated with addiction. The primary treatment program can accommodate 16 clients and the extended care program accommodates 12. Vista Taos also offers medically supervised detox with licensed medical staff on call 24/7.

The 4-6 week Residential Treatment Program is sensitive to the needs of each client. Clients are given a thorough evaluation and provided with an individualized treatment plan. The program is 12-step based. Clients also participate in individual and group therapy deigned to complement their recovery. Ancillary therapies are provided support each client's recovery. These include yoga, massage, acupuncture, equine assisted learning, spiritual guidance, and outdoor activities. Services available to each patient include: Medically Supervised Detoxification, Individual Therapy, Group Therapy, Family Therapy, 12-Step Curriculum, AA/NA Meetings, Grief and Loss Therapy, Mindfulness Based Relapse Prevention, Psychodrama, Psychiatric Consultation.

Residents can enter the Extended Care program at Casa Feliz after they have completed our 4-6 week primary treatment program or a similar intervention during which they have established 4-6 weeks of sobriety. The Extended Care program is designed to facilitate a client’s re-integration from primary care to the family and the workplace. The length of stay can vary from 1-12 months based on the needs of each client. The time at Casa Feliz allows our clients to re-engage their interests and passions in a safe, sober environment.
