The partnership means greater transparency for Turning Winds and a commitment to adhere to NIPSA's high standards of operation for its member schools.

"We're pleased to be partnered with NIPSA," said Owen Baisden, vice president of operations for Turning Winds Academic Institute.

"Along with accreditations and memberships with other organizations, Turning Winds is setting a very high standard for itself, which will ultimately benefits parents, teachers and students," he added.

Founded in 1983, the National Independent Private Schools Association is designed to address the challenges that exist within propriety private school operations. Ultimately, the organization's goal is to provide students with the best possible education.

Along with NIPSA, Turning Winds is also a part of the Northwest Accreditation Commission and The National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs (NATSAP), which also strive to increase the standards of excellence for its members.

The addition of NIPSA is just one of many changes Turning Winds has made to increase the quality of education for its students. Just recently, the school installed nine, 12x16 solar panels to improve the schools energy efficiency.

Baisden noted that more exciting announcements are "on the way."
