After nearly eight years of flying back and forth across the continent from her home in Portland, Oregon to her other home at True North in Vermont, Caretia will be spending less time in the air and more time on the ground. She will be transitioning throughout the fall into her new role as a community based child and family therapist in the heart of Portland. Caretia has been our beloved friend and soul sister for nearly a decade and her vision, creativity, and hard work has brought so much richness and depth to the True North experience for hundreds of families and colleagues over the years.
While you may still see her with the True North team at future conferences and events, Caretia will be putting down roots in the Rose city and focusing on her new path, beautiful garden, yoga, home renovations, and other exciting projects. She will also continue to assist in training new parent program therapists.
We feel immense gratitude for all that she has shared with us at True North and are so happy for her as she prepares to invest more of her time at home and retire from nearly a decade spent traveling the country. While she will miss all of the excellent and inspiring individuals who participate in this therapeutic field, we know that she is looking forward to spending more time in her Portland community and less time on the road. Caretia will always have a home at True North and we look forward to many more years of friendship and adventure together. Please join us in wishing her joy and success in her new venture. Stay tuned for more updates on the Parent Program and Outreach from True North.
