Telos Residential Treatment Center, a facility helping struggling teenage boys with emotional challenges, will have an open house to share its 20,000 square foot addition with the public.

On February 19, 2008, visitors have the opportunity of touring the Telos facility, located at 870 West Center Street from 4:00 to 7:30 p.m. Guests will learn about the Telos relationship based program and will meet the youth who reside there.

"Telos offers a unique environment for young men to heal and grow through relationships, principled living, and challenging experiences. This open house gives the community a rare opportunity to step into this environment and our beautiful addition," said John Hall, clinical director at Telos.

The mission of Telos is to create inspiring interpersonal relationships that invite and assist all people to move toward their ultimate potential.

The philosophy of change at Telos supports the sustaining of each student's ultimate potential. Meaningful and lasting change is possible when one human being makes a positive connection with another through the processes of inspiration, modeling, invitation, and dialogue.

Kristin Williams, admissions director at Telos, said "I see the students when they admit to Telos and when they discharge. The positive change and progress that takes place within these young men is obvious and remarkable."
