I wanted to connect with you now that I have officially stepped into my new role of Executive Director for Summit Preparatory School. As you may recall, last December, Summit's Executive Board made the decision to expand the leadership team in order to provide additional time for co-founder Rick Johnson to focus more on program expansion and development. I am pleased to have the opportunity to move from being a board member to this new position.
As an educator and administrator my passion has always focused on the lives of young people. My involvement with students expands beyond the classroom; I enjoy the out of doors, I am a scuba instructor, and a basketball referee. I look forward to connecting with our Summit students in a variety of activities; biking, skiing, whitewater rafting, and hiking.
My vision for Summit, as we enter the second decade, is to build upon the already strong concepts of our program. As a past Summit Prep board member I have appreciated all of the extraordinary effort that is put forth by the staff. I am especially pleased with the incorporation of The Summit Model throughout our programming; academically, therapeutically, and residentially. During my tenure I look forward to establishing continued growth and development in all areas.
