Squaw Valley Academy announces the return of Mr. William "Bill" Grant to administration at SVA. Mr. Grant has accepted an appointment as Assistant Headmaster and commenced work this academic year 2010-2011.

Most recently a member of the faculty of Oak Hill Academy in Virginia, Bill Grant brings a depth of experience spanning twenty-six years in education, including a decade in administration and eighteen years of classroom teaching.

Bill works with Don Rees, SVA Founder and Headmaster, and has taken over day-to-day operation of the academy while Mr. Rees oversees future planning and the construction on the new $4 million classroom-dormitory.

Of Bill's leadership, Mr. Rees says, "Bill's strong management style, attention to detail, and tough but gentle demeanor endear him to students and parents, and to the entire SVA community.

Squaw Valley Academy is an international 8th-12th grade boarding and day school founded in 1978 to offer a combination of college acceptance, outdoor adventure, and sports opportunities in the High Sierra at Lake Tahoe.

Preparation for college is the primary focus at Squaw Valley Academy, where outdoor sports and activities are catalysts for personal growth and achievement. The Western Association of Schools and Colleges fully accredits SVA.
