Shortridge Academy

Shortridge Academy is an independent, year-round, college preparatory boarding school for bright and engaging, albeit struggling teens. Set near the White Mountain and Seacoast Regions of New Hampshire, Shortridge Academy offers an 18-month program that challenges students to grow through a variety of structured academic and life experiences. Our unique Integrated Growth program encourages students to build solid foundations academically, emotionally, and socially. This well-balanced approach provides students opportunities to create meaningful relationships, a sense of self-confidence and direction in life.

Our Intellectual, Intrapersonal, and Interpersonal Growth curricula are designed to: assist students to excel in college-preparatory education, build and maintain positive relationships with peers, faculty, and family, and to educate students in leadership and critical-thinking skills in order to make important life choices.

The campus, located on 350 acres, includes a schoolhouse with state-of - the-art technology classrooms, a commercial kitchen, traditional dining room, and office space. Two newly built single-sex dormitories are close- by, each housing sixteen students in four large rooms and a shared living room. Faculty apartments adjoin each dormitory for the safety and comfort of the students.
