Shortridge Academy is with mixed feelings as the school bids farewell to long-time staff member, Amy Fuller. Amy will be returning home to Iowa to care for her aging parents.

Amy joined the Shortridge Team as an Assistant Phase Leader in 2005. Since that time Amy has added tremendous value in several key roles supporting Shortridge's mission. She has been the Girl's Team Leader, Student Life Coordinator, Program Operations Manager and member of the management team. She oversaw many of the critical support functions such as facilities maintenance, emergency preparedness, food service and special event planning. Throughout all of these positions Amy still maintained a strong presence "on the floor", working directly with students sharing her passion, skills, and rare ability to connect with a variety of students.

"I truly feel privileged to have had the opportunity to work with Amy for the last eight years. She touched the lives of so many at Shortridge and I will always be grateful for the unique contributions she made. We will all miss her sense of humor, great attention to detail, and most importantly her friendship", said Adam Rainer, Founder. "Amy is one of those remarkable people you don't meet everyday. She is someone whose dedication to mission and people is indeed special", remarked Don Vardell.

Amy wrapped up her duties as Residential Manager this week and went out with a bang. So far, at least three farewell parties have been scheduled. Please join the Shortridge Family in wishing Amy and her family the best.
