Shadow Mountain Recovery is please to announce the acquisition of an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for men located in Colorado Springs, CO. The center is now accepting patients into the program. This unique center is headed up by David P. Petersen, MSW, MHA, a seasoned clinician with over 26 years of experience in the substance abuse treatment realm.

In his lengthy career, David has worked with teens, young adults and adults in assessment, direct care behavioral counseling, curriculum development, clinical management, bi-lingual programming delivery, community development, marketing, and many other facets of the helping industry. "We could not be happier to have a talented clinician like David on the SMR team," says Robb Holub, CEO and Founder, "Finding the right clinical person, that understands our mission and philosophy is critical, and we feel very fortunate to have found this in David."

Also joining the Shadow Mountain Recovery extended care drug rehab team is Jason Friesema, LPC, CACIII. Jason will be responsible for new business development and referral relationships.

Jason has spent much of the past decade working in an outpatient setting with young adults in early recovery. Jason earned a Bachelor Degree in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Community Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado. He co-founded a successful and thriving outpatient group practice in Colorado Springs. Jason joins Shadow Mountain Recovery as a member of the marketing and business development team leveraging his clinical acumen with a passion for connecting families struggling with addiction to the appropriate level of care needed. Jason also is an avid mountaineer and backpacker. He has climbed all 53 of Colorado's 14ers as well as Mt. Rainier in Washington.

Jason serves Shadow Mountain as our Colorado drug rehab business development representative. Based in Colorado Springs, Jason connects with and nurtures our extensive referral base, making sure that our referent's needs are being met at all times. Jason's experience as a clinician fortifies his effort, and helps ensure that inbound residents to our programs are properly assessed and their treatment is off to a maximum start.
