| From Strugglingteens.com New Perspectives Scottsdale, Arizona Scottsdale Recovery Center is a drug and alcohol treatment center for young adults who are struggling with addictions to various substances including prescription drugs, marijuana, cocaine, opiate addiction and alcoholism. They also provide services for dual diagnosis that may include eating disorders, gambling addictions and co-occurring disorders of ADHD, PTSD, Bipolar, anxiety, sleep disorders and for those with grief and loss issues. Licensed by the State of Arizona, Scottsdale Recovery is a member of the BBB, NAATP and NAADAC. Founder and president of this recovery center is Chris Cohn, who created this program from his own struggles with addiction, his triumph with recovery and his prior work in managing several recovery homes and treatment centers. CEO and co-founder is Alex Salcedo and Program Director is Liza Salcedo. Liza is also the intake coordinator and is a parent of a son who struggled with addiction. Clients enrolled in this 90 day program participate in daily house chores, house meetings and are required to submit to bi-weekly drug and alcohol testing. Scottsdale Recovery program maintains single gender housing, overseen by house managers who also manage the clients when they are not at the treatment facility. Various modalities of therapy are used in working with the clients, these include group and individual therapies and equine therapy, meditative yoga and daily relapse prevention workshops are just a few. Clients also join in AA and NA meetings, weekly recreational outings to nearby cities and attraction and each sober home has its own pool.
