SUWS of the Carolinas is currently seeking to fill the position of Wilderness Therapist for our Bravo program.

SUWS of the Carolinas is a Wilderness Therapy program that operates in the Pisgah National Forest, 30 miles west of Asheville, NC. We specialize in the treatment of youth ages 10-17, both male and female. Clients include adolescents who present with a wide variety of DSM-V Axis I diagnoses, substance abuse difficulties and/or Asperger's (ASD) issues, or nonspecific learning disorders. Our Bravo program works with boys ages 13 to 17, confronting a variety of issues including

• Low self-esteem
• Depression
• Anxiety
• Substance abuse
• Emotional regulation
• Trauma
• Anger issues
• Family conflict
• School failure

Masters level education in Counseling or Social Work required. Independent mental health licensure (LSCW, LPC, LMFT) in North

Carolina is required. Must have strong organizational, individual, group and family therapy skills. A Wilderness Therapy background or ability to work 2-3 days/week within the beautiful Pisgah National Forest a plus. Required to hike short and long distances to meet with groups and to coordinate treatment with Field Instructors who work in the field, round-the-clock.

SUWS of the Carolinas and Phoenix Outdoor is currently hiring for a Clinical Director.

SUWS of the Carolinas is a Wilderness Therapy program that operates in the Pisgah National Forest, 30 miles west of Asheville, NC. We specialize in the treatment of youth ages 10-17, both male and female. Clients include adolescents who present with a wide variety of DSM-V Axis I diagnoses, substance abuse difficulties and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) issues, or nonspecific learning disorders.

Job duties to include, but not limited to:

• Provide clinical and managerial oversight to the clinical team, including group supervision, individual supervision, managerial oversight of department/employees.
• Add to the clinical competency of the program and assist in promoting the clinical direction of the program.
• Identify and implement continued trainings for each clinical team member and the group/company as a whole.
• Hold a high level of accountability within the clinical team in all aspects of the program, including: work with students/families, paperwork, customer service and marketing.
• Hire and train new clinical team members as needed (permanent and seasonal).
• Represent the program at various marketing events (face to face meetings, industry or other professional conferences, CEU events, etc).

Minimum educational requirements include:

• Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or relative field, or Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology from an accredited college or university.
• Must be licensed in the state of North Carolina as a LCSW, LMFT, LPC or licensed by the appropriate Board as a Clinical Psychologist to practice independently at the highest level possible.

Minimum experience requirements include:

• Minimum of five years' experience with inpatient, outpatient, and/or mental health care preferable in a residential program setting and two years post licensure experience.
• Must have direct clinical and case management experience, group leadership experience, and knowledge regarding rehabilitation philosophy.

First aid/CPR training recommended. NCI/CPI training recommended.
