SUWS Programs of Shoshone, Idaho, one of the nation's oldest and best-known wilderness therapy programs, is pleased to announce the newest member of its admissions team, Sarah Casson Rush.
Sarah has worked for Aspen Education Group, the parent company of SUWS, for over six years in positions with increasing responsibility.
"We are excited to have Sarah join our team," said Kathy Rex, Executive Director of SUWS.
Sarah's experience includes both residential and outdoor program settings. Most recently, she was Admissions Director of New Leaf Academy of Oregon. She began her career as an intern at St. Mary's Boys Home in Portland while attending Portland State University where she studied psychology.
"I am honored to have the opportunity to join the SUWS Admissions team," said Sarah. "It will be nice to get back to my roots supporting families in crisis who need a short-term wilderness intervention."
Celebrating its 30th year in operation, SUWS Adolescent and Youth Programs specializes in helping troubled and defiant teens overcome their behavioral and emotional problems. The SUWS outdoor environment helps young people identify and work through the internal conflicts and emotional obstacles that have kept them from responding to parental efforts, schools and treatment. SUWS accepts boys and girls ages 11 to 17 and offers a 28-day minimum program.
