| From Strugglingteens.com New Perspectives Sanpete County, Utah Red Fern Ranch serves boys ages 10-13 with moderate behavioral problems. The boys are supervised by trained staff and are monitored by an LCSW, MD, PA, RN and MT. The program implements a diplomatic process for consequences by allowing the boys to participate in a disciplinary court similar to the US judiciary system. They also participate in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and are led by a board certified music therapist in group music therapy. The boys learn appropriate expression of opinions and feelings, work hard, play hard, and assist in raising animals and crops. Red Fern Ranch designs a specialized treatment plan for each boy and helps them to set goals that will help them to carry on a productive life and succeed in society.
