Angie Shockley is awarded Business Person of the Year in Tucker County, WV!
We are so proud to announce that our very own Angie Shockley had been recognized in her community as the Tucker County Chamber of Commerce Business Person of the Year for 2013! This award is given as recognition of all that she does to go the extra mile to help make Tucker County a better place to live and work.
Q&A Associates employs 18 full time employees in Davis, WV as well as another 11 full and part-time employees in Asheville,NC. We have 5 young adult programs that serve up 30 clients in all 5 programs. Also as part of our programs in WV, we have 4 individual businesses that our clients run and are employed by. Angie has such a strong entrepreneurial spirit that it has overflowed to our clients and given them the opportunity to explore their passions in a variety of ways.
When asked about this honor, Angie had this to say: "Being named Business Person of the Year for Tucker County is a great honor. I have always had a passion for my local area and community, so it means even more to me that my peers and neighbors have taken the time to recognize the hard work that has gone into building this business for the past three years. 'm humbled by the recognition and even more grateful for the tremendous team that surrounds me and props me up. This is certainly not a one woman show! I will continue to be dedicated to the staff, the local community and the clients and families we serve on a daily basis."
Q&A Associatesis a family of programs focused on working with young adults who have struggled to sustain a productive and positive transition into adulthood. Headquartered in Davis, West Virginia, Q&A has three programs in the beautiful Canaan Valley: Applewood Transitions, The Journey WV, and Cabin Mountain Living. Our newest programs are in Asheville, North Carolina, Willow Creek Lodge, a short term clinically intensive, trauma informed, retreat style program, and Asheville House due to open in the Summer of 2013.
