| From Strugglingteens.com New Perspectives Judy Friesem, Program Manager This three-year-old service is a parent-teen mediation program for the Seattle, Washington area. Their goal is to help families with teens stay connected when things get difficult. Their “mediators work in teams of one teen and one adult,” meeting with families and striving “to help people in conflict communicate respectfully, shift their relationship to one that is supportive and positive, and to collaborate on agreements that work for everyone.” They have 40 volunteers ages 14-64. © Copyright 2012 by Woodbury Reports, Inc. |
