Pacific Quest Hawaii is excited to announce the addition of Mary Beth Coffman, MSW to our counseling team. She joins in as our third counselor, helping us grow to a capacity of 22 students.

Mary Beth received her undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Nevada, Reno and her Masters Degree in Social Work at the University of Utah. She comes to Pacific Quest from Second Nature Wilderness Program where, after serving as an intern and a field guide, she held the position of Primary Therapist for adolescents for two years. Mary Beth was an integral part of the parent program there and helped create a "Family Packet" which is used throughout the program. Before that, Mary Beth served as an intern at a Residential Treatment Center in Utah where she trained in DBT Therapy and Chemical Dependency. She has extensive experience with children ages 5-18 in a variety of settings, but is most interested in working with adolescents in an outdoor setting. Mary Beth brings a broad knowledge of wilderness therapy and family and adolescent counseling. With her enthusiasm and professionalism, she is a superb addition to our team. Please join us in welcoming Mary Beth to Pacific Quest!

In other news, just in time for summer, Pacific Quest has added a new camp to accommodate an added group of students and to enhance individual and group development. The new camp holds up to 10 students and will focus on the "Kuleana" stage of the program when students first arrive. Ten new sites, a fantastic new bunkhouse and a pristine kitchen are just some of the highlights, but all would agree that the view of the Hawaii coastline is the best part! We have added ample field instructors along with our new counselor, Mary Beth Coffman so that we can now serve 22 students and their families. To check space availability or learn more about our new camp or Pacific Quest, lease call Marney Sullivan, Admissions Director at 808-937-5806.
