Pacific Hills opened 10-years-ago as an alternative to the traditional treatment of substance abuse. The program provides dual diagnosis treatment with a focus upon a strong relapse-prevention curriculum. Although the program emphasizes the spiritual aspects of recovery, it also offers a non-denominational, Christ-centered tract and a traditional tract that is true to the original 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. The program serves adult clients ages 18 and older.

Pacific Hills is located in home-style environments with the men’s program in San Clemente, CA and the woman’s program in nearby Capistrano Beach. The programs are staffed with licensed clinicians, psychologists, psychiatrists, substance abuse counselors and pastoral counselors. It is licensed by the State of California and Accredited by CARF.

Pacific Hills considers chemical dependency to be a physical, mental and spiritual disease and focuses on recovery from the disease, achieving abstinence and leading productive lives. A major focus is to prepare clients to recognize and respond responsibly to their own relapse process.

While Pacific Hills offers a multi-disciplinary treatment approach, the program is committed to the expansion of modalities; they believe the self-help group of Alcoholics Anonymous/Narcotics Anonymous is the modality with the broadest measure of success.

Pacific Hills is considered a Primary Care Program with a minimum length of stay ranging between 28 and 42 days. Clients can also avail themselves of extended care and sober living programs to support their recovery process.
