We are excited to announce four new Intercept courses in Central California!

A blend of urban and wilderness experiences, these 28-day backpacking expeditions begin in Henry Coe State Park and conclude in San Francisco.

Intercept expeditions are designed to help students and parents discover the basis of hope for a happier and more productive future--recognizing strengths, good intent, understanding, and potential. The challenging expedition "airlifts" the teen out of what may be unhealthy routines or negative environments into awe-inspiring surroundings where he or she can gain a fresh perspective on life. Parents join us for the last three days of the program, in a pivotal and productive workshop with instructors and their child. On course, students develop wilderness, communication and teamwork skills and are empowered to redefine their self-image through personal achievement.

We are offering full and partial scholarships that are available for the following California backpacking courses in 2011:

  • 1/25 - 2/21 for 14 - 17 year-olds

  • 3/08 - 4/04 for 14 - 17 year-olds

  • 6/07 - 6/26 for 12 - 13 year-olds

  • 7/12 - 7/31 for 12 - 13 year-olds
