Newport Academy announced their staff will present at the upcoming 2nd Annual Western Conference on Behavioral Health and Addictive Diseases conference. The conference runs June 16-18, 2011 in Newport Beach, CA.
Thursday, June 16, 2011, from 4pm to 5:30pm, Barbara Nosal, PhD & Kansas Cafferty, MFTI, Clinical Director of Newport Academy will present on "Integrating MDFT with Substance Abusing Adolescents in a Residential Treatment Setting."
David Smith MD, FASAM Chair, Adolescent Addiction Treatment will present Friday, June 17 at 2pm to 3:30pm. Dr. Smith will present "New Advances in Opiate Treatment for Adolescents."
The clinical team from Newport Academy will also have a booth at the conference and encourage visitors to stop by the exhibit to meet them.
Newport Academyis a single-gender, residential treatment program for girls age 12-18 years old with primary drug and/or alcohol problems, no physical or psychiatric disabilities or outstanding legal problems which preclude participation in the Newport Academy Program and/or activities, and a willingness to comply with Newport Academy rules and structure.
