New Leaf Academy, established in 1997 as a therapeutic boarding school for girls 10 - 15 at time of admission, is pleased to announce the appointment of Joshua Goldstein, M.A.T., as Academic Director.
Josh completed his B.S. degree in Biology at the University of Oregon and his M.A.T. at Southern Oregon University in Ashland, and brings an extensive resume in across the spectrum of education to his position at NLA.
His commitment to helping students become engaged learners, to become curious about themselves and the world around them, and to see opportunity in the challenges they face is evident through his success in a variety of settings. These include environmental education in Tennessee, education-at-sea, residential treatment, traditional, charter and alternative schools. He is passionate about the benefits of small schools when paired with high expectations and compassionate educators.
