The National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs ("NATSAP") will hold a Principles of Good Practice Summit to review the Principles of Good Practice, the Supplemental Principles of Good Practice and the recently developed Principles of Good Practice for Small Residential Programs. The existing Principles will be reviewed to ensure they continue to clearly address the best practices set forth by NATSAP.
The Summit will also address ethical concerns raised during the 2006 NATSAP Ethics Survey, the Ethics Community Gatherings at our 2006 and 2007 National Conferences, and the recommendations submitted from the recently held Ethical Principles Summit. We will specifically address best practices concerning dual relationships and program / educational consultant relationships, drawing on research conducted by NATSAP and DCBA Law.
We will be joined by representatives from the Outdoor Behavioral Health Industry Council (OBHIC) and will utilize the recently ratified Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) Principles of Good Practice.
