We're hearing great things about this year's Rocky Mountain Regional NATSAP Conference! The conference is scheduled April 19-20, 2012, at beautiful Schweitzer Ski Resort in Sandpoint,ID. This year's Conference Theme is "The Black Holes of Cyberspace: How Technology Impacts Adolescents".

The Conference will kick off with a collaboration session with your colleagues on the topic of how technology has impacted the adolescents you work with and what can be done about these issues. This will be held on Thursday, April 19 from 4:30 to 6:30pm at Schweitzer. Following this meeting there will be an informal gathering at 6:30pm with Hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar. This will be a fun opportunity to get to know other programs in your region!

Nationally-known speaker and co-founder of the ReStart Internet Addiction Recovery Center, Hilarie Cash, PhD., LMHC, will be our keynote speaker on Friday morning with a fascinating presentation entitled: "The E-Brain: How Internet Addicts Differ from Chemical Addicts and How Chemical Addicts Can Become Internet Addicts." The region is lucky to have Hilarie as a keynote speaker to share her wisdom and years of experience on this intriguing topic!

In the afternoon we will be honored to hear from Cosette Dawna Rae, MSW, LSWAIC, Executive Director of ReStart. Her presentation is entitled: "The Unknowns - Things We Do Not Know We Don't Know About Problematic Digital Technology Use." Cosette promises to enlighten you with a wealth of new insights to aid you in working with your clientele.

Last but not least the audience will hear from Cole Schlack, Program Manager at CBI Insurance Agency. Cole will be discussing how to avoid the risks of "Cyber Liability" in this new cyber world that we live in. He will address issues such as the risks associated with accessing medical records from your smart-phone among many other topics. You'll be surprised by how many risky behaviors you may have engaged in without knowing it!

Registration will be available at the conference on Friday morning from 8 to 9am as well as a Continental Breakfast. The conference will begin promptly at 9am and will wrap up at 4:30pm.

There are still opportunities available for sponsorships, vendors and programs hoping to have an exhibitor's booth.
