Morningside Recovery, a treatment center in Costa Mesa, California, was founded in 2001 as a uniquely successful alternative for young adults struggling in gaining a foothold in sustainable recovery. Our open treatment model focuses on treating the psychological issues that typically drive addiction and impede successful recovery. Unlike many traditional treatment programs, we aim to heal the whole person by focusing on the mental health issues that accompany addiction and offering a broad range of special programs, including therapeutic adventure and academic programming, in addition to experiential, group and individual therapies that our dedicated therapists tailor to each client's personal needs. Additionally, our non-lockdown, open treatment model gives clients supervised exposure to real life, so they can learn the emotional and practical skills necessary to continue their lives of sustainable recovery long after treatment. Morningside Recovery is pet friendly allowing clients to bring their companion animals with them to treatment.

Morningside Recovery's highly credentialed clinical team is comprised of multiple Doctorate level therapists and psychologists, Master's level LMFTs and alternative therapy instructors, as well as a psychiatrist and professional nutritionist. Morningside Recovery is a California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs Certified Treatment Program, and is also an active member of NATSAP, AEE, NAATP, and NAMI.

Three of Morningside Recovery's integral specialty programs are the Morningside Adventure Program (MAP), Morningside Academic Institute (MAI) and Launchpad. For clients who have attended wilderness programs or simply seek the outdoors and new experiences, MAP hosts different trips and experiential activities that uniquely foster recovery through increased self-esteem, awareness, and confidence. MAI is invaluable to clients attending school during treatment. After a thorough assessment, MAI guides clients through every aspect of their academic pursuits from scheduling and registering for classes to homework checks and tutoring. In addition to constant therapeutic support, MAI allows clients to achieve their personally outlined scholastic goals. Launchpad is a similar program to MAI for employment that helps clients craft resumes, search for jobs, connect with employment service programs and Morningside Recovery alumni, participate in mock interviews, schedule shifts, and become responsible employees in their journey towards a well-suited career. Morningside Recovery proudly offers these, and many other, customized services to aid clients' opportunities for growth and ease their transition into healthier, improved lives in recovery.
