Behavioral health veteran, Bill Lane, was featured on January 4, 2010 as the lead article for the national magazine, Tonic. The article was part of a series entitled, "Living for a Living," which profiles individuals with lives or careers that are strikingly authentic, passionate, and purposeful. The article traces Lane's incredible journey from heroin addict to mental health professional and describes the youth transport profession.

The first five Living for a Living articles will appear in Tonic with subsequent features appearing in other magazines and book form. They will profile free-diver Kirk Krack (from the film The Cove); climber, writer and film-maker Majka Burhardt; vegan super-athlete and Hollywood attorney, Rich Roll; and others.

Bill Lane has been in the therapeutic schools industry for over 35 years and is the president and owner of Bill Lane and Associates, Inc, an adolescent transport service.
