Minnesota Life College in Richfield, MN; Minnesota West Community and Technical College; and Shopko of Worthington are pleased to announce a lively, upbeat musical production at 7:00 PM on May 17, 2011. The evening kicks off with a very special performance of "Count it All Joy" followed by the popular show "They Wrote the Songs."

Count it All Joy is an inspiring 35-minute musical and electronic performance featuring Twin Cites recording artists alongside graduates of Minnesota Life College. The show can be described as a celebration of joy, life, friendship, and making a difference in the community. Following a brief intermission, the popular musical tribute "They Wrote the Songs" will be performed by some of the Twin Cities best jazz and R & B recording artists. "They Wrote the Songs" is a musical tribute to the music of four great American songwriters. Their songs, featured in this show, were made famous by performers such as Melissa Manchester, Michael McDonald, the Spinners, Four Seasons, Marvin Gaye, Pattie Labelle, Phil Collins, and the Supremes, just to name a few.

Songs performed include many of the hits from the 70's, 80's, and 90's, including "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You," "On My Own," "Groovy Kind of Love," "Midnight Blue," "Rubberband Man," "How Sweet It Is," "Let's Hang On," and many more.

The performance is generously sponsored by the Shopko and Minnesota West Community and Technical College of Worthington. The show will be performed at the newly renovated Worthington Memorial Auditorium and Performing Arts Center at 714-13th Street in Worthington. Tickets can be purchased through the theater for $15.00 for adults or $10.00 for students. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Minnesota Life College, where young adults with learning differences pursue personal and financial independence.

Minnesota Life College is a not-for-profit, vocational and life-skills training program for young adults with learning differences and autism spectrum disorders. Its goal is to help students transition to independent living and financial self-sufficiency through a challenging curriculum and opportunities to learn beyond the classroom.
