The co-ed boarding program focuses on teaching teens how to achieve healthy weight, get fit and build self-esteem. As founder of the Hank Haney International Junior Golf Academy, the International Junior Golf Tour, Heritage Academy, and Kids Teaching Kids, he has mentored teenage students in an academic and residential setting for over 15 years. Chris Grimwood, previously the Executive Director of Wellspring Academy in Reedley, Calif, is the COO. The MindStream program addresses all of the basic skills required for losing weight and finding health while also addressing needs for acceptance, support, belonging, and understanding. The program consists of four components: counseling, academics, fitness, and nutrition. The counseling component, developed by a team of licensed professionals, is five-fold, focusing on emotion management, behavioral, social and cognitive training and family counseling. The academic component integrates an accredited online education with traditional middle school and high school curriculum that meets and/or exceeds state and national standards. The fitness program is research-based and customized to suit individual abilities and fitness levels.
