The Memorial Hermann Prevention and Recovery Center (PaRC) is proud to announce the opening of our new Adolescent Residential Chemical Dependency Program. Located in Houston, Texas, this program treats adolescents ages 13 to 17 suffering from substance dependence as well as those struggling with co-occurring substance abuse and psychiatric disorders.

The PaRC, a nationally recognized and utilized chemical dependency treatment center for adults, has acknowledged and embraced the need for top quality adolescent residential services.

PaRC features a 12-step abstinence-based treatment program model that focuses on the development of healthy behaviors and lifestyles choices.

Services and PaRC features include:

Residential Treatment: Treatment includes a minimum of 35 hours per week of planned, structured activities including chemical dependency counseling and education.

Specialized medical services include detoxification, physical examinations, and medical history to compliment our treatment services.

Family therapy/counseling sessions Parent and family support groups

Educational services accredited by the Texas Education Agency maintaining a student teacher ratio of 10-1

Aftercare

12-step Meetings and Alternative Peer Group Support Networks

24 hour security staff

Licensed dietitian on staff to meet and address the patients' nutritional needs.

Psychological evaluations and testing are also available

Physical fitness activities in indoor and outdoor recreational areas

Extensive Discharge planning

Relapse prevention

Community Based Support


Our highly skilled and experienced treatment team includes American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) certified physicians, psychiatrists, therapists, nurses, and licensed chemical dependency counselors. Our structured program maintains a high staff to patient ratio ensuring that each adolescent patient is under direct supervision at all times.

The PaRC is open for admissions 24-hours a day, 7-days and accepts private pay and contracts with most managed care companies.
