A graduate of Dartmouth, Rick also has an MA in secondary education from Tufts as well as a CAS in administration and planning from UVM. He will work out of our Vermont office.
After Dartmouth, Rick was a Naval Officer, Pacific Theatre, taught in public schools around Boston, and then spent two years in the Peace Corps teaching in Botswana. After ten years teaching K - 8 and becoming a Principal in Vermont, he left for his first overseas teaching job in Athens. After several years in the classroom, he became Head of the Middle School, ACS, Athens; then Superintendent American International School, Tel Aviv; Superintendent, American International School of Dhaka, Bangladesh; Director, American International School, Budapest; and Superintendent, The American School of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
His awards include: Klingenstein Visiting Fellowship; Japan Foundation Fellowship; Board of Directors NESA; Board of Directors CEESA; Board trainer ECIS; and US State Department Leadership Institute.
Rick's wife, Sandi, is a retired ESL teacher. He has three grown children, one of whom is teaching in an international school in Quatar.
