Lion's Gate Recovery's 24/7 full service residential facility, in conjunction with an outpatient facility (Counseling Services of Southern Utah, LLC), specializes in the treatment of substance abuse & addiction. Services include, but not limited to, comprehensive assessments, individualized treatment plans, coupled with structured "12 Step" individual and group therapies. Our 24/7 "on call" medical staff provides medical support for residents with co-occurring disorders."

Founded by Russ Talbot, M.Ed., LCSW, MAC, Lion's Gate Recovery is an accredited affiliate of the prestigious Amen Clinics. The Amen Solution experience increases recovery success with detailed histories, evaluations, and optional brain SPECT imaging to more effectively target treatment approaches, creating "Brain Envy" and educating individuals & family members about "Reward Deficiency Syndrome" (Dopamine Deprivation).

Talbot's credentials include a Bachelor's Degree in Education, a Master's Degree in Educational Psychology and a Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work. He is also a Certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapist and "the first in Utah to earn NAADAC's Master Addiction Counselor Certification". His 30+ years of education and experience in the Mental/Behavioral Health profession includes adolescent, adult and family therapy. An expertise and passion for the recovery of chemically dependent adolescents and adults in residential/inpatient, intensive outpatient, and individual therapeutic settings continues as he witnesses amazing individuals overcoming tremendous barriers.

Each individualized treatment plan includes a structured family recovery program, music therapy, equine therapy, life skills, occupational therapy, recreational therapy, physical fitness, and nutritional counseling. Our educational services assist young adults to earn their High School diploma/GED once completing primary treatment. Our broad scope of services includes three months of Intensive Out-Patient Treatment, three months of Aftercare, and a proprietary fifty-two week Continued Sobriety Program following a successful outcome to residential treatment.
