| From Strugglingteens.com Breaking News Lake House Academy Flat Rock, NC Jane Samuel Retires From Lake House Academy Contact: Fotu Soliai Executive Director 828-355-4595 fsoliai@lakehouseacademy.com www.lakehouseacademy.com Lake House Academy is both pleased (for her) and saddened (for LHA) to announce the upcoming retirement of Jane Samuel, Admission Director. Most of you have known Jane for many years as she has been associated with many fine programs in the therapeutic school network. While she began her career teaching school, she has spent almost 30 years establishing new programs serving young people from ages 10-26 and making many dear friends along the way. Speaking of their long time friendship, Sharon Laney of InnerChange relates, "Jane and I first met at an IECA in Florida where there were only a handful of therapeutic programs and Educational Consultants. We immediately created a friendship that has endured 28 years. While I will miss working beside Jane, I know our friendship will continue throughout our life times. I hope that she and her husband, Steve, can enjoy the rest of their journey." Speaking for herself, Jane states, "When I found the private therapeutic network, I didn't know what I was really looking for but knew I wanted to work with kids and families in a meaningful way. I treasure the many friends, colleagues, students and parents I have been associated with over the years. One of the biggest gifts of this industry is developing not only a strong professional relationship but truly great personal friends as we all work and play as share in each other's joys and sorrows. It is the best relational network in the country!" While Jane will be missed, LHA has found a great replacement and welcomes Amanda Woolard as our new Director of Admissions for Lake House. Because Jane hired and trained Amanda at Auldern Academy, she is well qualified to take over the admission process at LHA. The entire Lake House team is excited to have Amanda join them in excellent services to our young girls. Lake House Academy is a year round therapeutic boarding school for young girls ages 10 - 14. LHA provides an environment that allows for young girls to reconnect with their families, establish and maintain academic success, and gain the skills needed to identify themselves in order to thrive as young healthy girls. © Copyright 2012 by Woodbury Reports, Inc. |
