As Head of School I am pleased to announce that Willow Rolynne Wonder has joined the fine arts faculty at the King George School as dance instructor.
Willow received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Modern Dance Performance from Purchase College in New York. She also studied at the London Contemporary School of Dance in London, England. Willow is trained in the techniques of Graham, Limon, Cunningham, and Taylor as well as classical ballet, composition, improvisation, music theory, dance history, theatre tech. and pilates.
Willow taught at the King George School from 2001-02 and instructed students in ballet, modern dance, improvisation and yoga. Since that time she has danced with the MOCA World Dance Co. in Montpelier, Vermont, taught all levels of modern dance, ballet and belly dance at the Moving Light School of Dance in Plainfield, Vermont and has choreographed works such as Sleeping Beauty, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Peter and the Wolf, and Oliver!
Willow began instructing students on Monday in modern and contemporary dance, and will be choreographing new dances with students to be performed on campus at the end of June. We welcome Willow back to the King George School community.
