Monica brings a wealth of experience as a bilingual licensed independent clinical social worker, working closely with organizations such as Davita, Catholic Family and Child Services, the Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic, and the Washington State Department of Children and Family Services. We hope to capitalize on Monica's extensive training with Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(TF-CBT) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). These elements of Monica's work will dovetail nicely with our focus on Trauma-Informed Care, providing students with safety, skills, and relationships designed to facilitate resilience and recovery. In her new role, Monica will be supervising counselors, intervention specialists and Chemical Dependency Professionals at Jubilee, as well as playing a key role on our Leadership Team. She will work closely with our staff, students, and families to continue to improve the experience of the young men who are entrusted to our care and the families from which they come and to which they will return. Jubilee Leadership Academy is a Trauma-Informed Care facility for teenage boys ages 13-18, that offers a Christ-centered community where youth can find new beginnings in a residential school setting. © Copyright 2012 by Woodbury Reports, Inc. |
