Integrating the young adults back into the "flow" of life in healthy, adaptive ways is the ultimate goal. The program is interwoven into the community. Clients are expected to build a full time schedule of school, work, or a combination of both. The treatment team at Dragonfly Transitions is comprised of several Bachelor level mentors, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, the Program Director, a Master's in Social Work and a Psychiatrist. This multidisciplinary approach allows the team to make use of the teachable moments that invariably occur throughout daily living. Dragonfly Transitions has been identified by Dragonfly Transitions and Adventures as a sister program to Dragonfly Adventures, which is a 21-day therapeutic wilderness quest. The program is designed for young adults (ages 18-25, co-ed) who are failing to launch their potential in school, work, family, and social/intimate relationships. The 21-day quest involves a unique blend of wilderness quests (e.g., hiking, rock climbing, river rafting) and state-of-the art therapeutic activities (e.g., psychological testing, evidence based individual treatment, DBT group counseling, systemic family therapy) in Southern Oregon. Taken together, these experiences will prepare young adults - from body to mind - to harness their potential and apply it successfully in a wide variety of settings. The program is especially helpful for those individuals experiencing the following:
