For those professionals currently working with children, teens or those wishing to enter the field, Hudson Valley Psychodrama Institute is offering two fall workshops: Childwork/ Child Play and Autumn Psychodrama Intensive.
We will be teaching methods such as psychodrama, sociodrama and Playback Theater in working with children. Psychodrama is a natural and powerful method for helping troubled, abused and traumatized children tell their stories, safely express strong feelings and try out new behaviors and roles. This professional training will offer participants the opportunity to learn adaptations of the psychodramatic method that work especially well with groups of children ages seven though twelve. Many of these structures can be adapted to work with individuals and families.

This training offers 16 CE credits towards NBCC, NAADAC, NYS OASAS, and towards re-certification requirements for the National Registry of Group Psychotherapists, in addition, to offering hours towards certification by the ASGPP and toward credentialing by the National Drama Therapy Association and the American Society for Experiential Therapists.
Autumn Psychodrama Intensive:

This training offers participants 34 hours towards certification by the American Board of Examiners in Psychodrama, Sociometry and Group Psychotherapy.
For those of you coming from out of town we are easily reached by car, train, bus and plane and we offer inexpensive overnight accommodations.
