Horse Sense of the Carolinas is conducting a 3-day seminar, the Business Building Intensive, September 18-20, 2008 in Marshall, NC. Designed to provide critical business basics to practitioners operating Equine Assisted Practice programs, the Business Building intensive will offer in-depth information for creating, operating, managing, and marketing a successful and profitable equine-assisted business.

Equine professionals from around the country will be attracted to the practical nuts-and-bolts emphasis of the Business Building Intensive. Participants will take part in foundational discussions and work sessions around financial management, marketing, funding, and program management. Topics include: 5 Keys to Success in Business, Working with Juvenile Justice, Creating your Ideal Herd, Where's the Money?, and Marketing Plan Essentials.
Two additional Asheville businesses will present at the Business Building Intensive. Michael Sowinski, CPA, of CFO Consultants, LLC will contribute sessions in finance, budgeting, and money management. Writer and marketing strategist Brenda Dammann, of Creative, Inc., will present on strategic planning, marketing, and message development.
Additional guest speakers include Debbie Anderson, co-founder and executive director of the Indiana-based Strides to Success program. Anderson, an equine-business expert of over 35 years, will present on information on her Equine Assisted Learning program for schools.
