Add meaning to your holiday season this year when you shop to support teens in recovery. Horizon High School, Dane County's only recovery high school, offers you the chance to invoke the spirit of giving by doing your holiday shopping in an upcoming auction benefiting teenagers working toward success in sobriety, school and life.
Find gifts both large and small in a 10-day online auction November 1-12, 2009 at: www.horizonhs.cmarket.com
Then on November 13, 2009, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, attend "Creating for a Cause," a unique live auction of local pottery hosted at Madison's Fine Earth Pottery Studio and Gallery on 2207 Regent.
All proceeds will go towards scholarships for Horizon High School students. These scholarships help teens pursue emotional growth and recovery at an alternative high school. Horizon High opened its doors in December 2005 and has since served nearly 50 young people. It is one of 21 not-for-profit student-centered recovery schools in the nation, and the only recovery high school in Dane County, that provides a learning environment to youth who have successfully completed AODA treatment programs.
By simply placing a bid, donating items or attending the auction you are giving a teenager the chance to succeed. This year make your holidays full of meaning. Let Dane County's only recovery high school show you how.
