HealingQuest of Boulder, Colorado introduces "Take A Break," a brief supervised therapeutic small group program for clients already in long term care, residential treatment, or therapeutic boarding schools. Small residential programs that close for the holidays or seasonal breaks can now place clients in Take A Break groups for a wilderness based therapeutic experience during the school break. HealingQuest offers individual and group therapy in a range of outdoor settings including camping, skiing, back country trekking, and equine facilitated therapy. Accommodations range from primitive to condominiums.

Residential programs often struggle with holiday and vacation placement. HealingQuest's Take A Break program meets this need. Clients will live in supervised small groups of four or less and receive individual therapy, group therapy, and wilderness based experiential therapy. Clients need to commit to sobriety, group process, and individual participation.

Clients are met at the Denver International Airport and transported to Colorado ski resorts or other activity areas, such as Vedauwoo, Wyoming for rock climbing camps, or the Independence Pass area near Aspen, Colorado.

Supervised by Jody Radtke, MA, LPC, clinical staff are all masters' level therapists.
Jody has years of experience facilitating groups and supervising staff as Program Director for The Women's Wilderness Institute. Program fees are $445 per day plus additional activity and housing surcharges.

For more information, admission directors, school heads, clinicians, education consultants, and parents should call Andy Rose, Program Director at 303-532-6780 or email andy@healingquest.info.

HealingQuest offers year-round wilderness therapy programming and pioneered the use of skiing as a somatic body-based therapy for desensitization and reprocessing of traumatic 'triggers' (SkiTherapy™, see www.skitherapy.com). HealingQuest offers Adult Individual Wilderness Therapy trips with full time master's level therapists, as well as Resort-Based Family Integration. Family trips are brief family therapy experiences where individuals and the family are supported by therapists for real change in family dynamics.
