E. Gordon Associates Relocate

Liz Gordon, founder and director of E. Gordon Associates, Inc, is pleased to announce that she and her husband, Jim, have re-located their educational consulting business to Wisconsin. Liz is well known for her educational consulting expertise for many years in Michigan and Florida, specializing in clients with emotional and behavioral disorders.

In 2010 Liz and Jim made the adventurous decision to experience "the other side" of therapeutic placements and moved to work in programs in WV and MO. Liz states, "It was a very valuable experience approaching our new positions from an educational consultant perspective. It gave me an even greater appreciation of the hard work that goes on behind the scenes at therapeutic schools and programs-- the things that educational consultants just don't see by touring."

Liz and Jim made the decision to re-locate E. Gordon Associates to Wisconsin where Liz grew up and where she has family and long-time friends. "I grew up on Lake Michigan and I've always missed it. I wanted to get back to life along the Great Lake and to the beauty of Wisconsin." Liz also is looking forward to volunteer work with teens in the community as well as various board memberships in her home town. Jim is looking forward to working with the local colleges, being active in the community's economic development, and to having time to practice his bagpipes.

Liz holds a Master's degree in clinical psychology and has worked with troubled adolescents and young adults for 25 years. She has been a professional member of IECA since 2002, has served on the Special Needs and the LD committees, and has visited hundreds of schools and programs over the years. Jim holds a Master's degree in Teaching, an MBA, and has worked as a teacher and an administrator in the public schools as well as an Academic Director and a Program Director in the private sector.

E. Gordon Associates enjoys working with adolescents and young adults across the country and internationally.
