InnerChange is excited to announce that Dr. Karyn Hall has joined the Fulshear Ranch Academy team as our consulting Psychologist and DBT specialist. In her thirty-plus years of clinical training and experience, Dr. Hall has developed expertise in variety of clinical specialties including DBT, trauma, psychopharmacology (MA), solution-focused psychotherapy, EMDR, and eating disorders. Dr. Hall's background in child and adolescent psychology has given her a strong clinical understanding of how issues such as abuse and neglect, addictions, trauma, and biological predispositions can cause suffering throughout an individual's life. Studying clinical psychopharmacology has added to her understanding of the biological basis and influences of emotional suffering. Her work at Fulshear is dedicated to helping students work through these sources of pain so that they can emerge into adulthood as empowered, healthy young women. "Dr. Hall is an amazing clinician and we are honored to have her on our team", commented Eilean Mackenzie, Clinical Director of Fulshear Ranch Academy.

Fulshear Ranch Academy, located in Needville, TX, is a young adult treatment and transition program for women ages 18 through 24 experiencing emotional and behavioral issues that could prevent a safe transition to independence. Common issues treated at Fulshear include dual diagnosis, personality disorders; bi-polar, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), addiction, severe depression and anxiety, and poor body image. Many of the young women at Fulshear have histories of multiple failed placements, and for these families, Fulshear provides the tools needed for lasting independence. Our three phase program allows girls to learn, grow, and thrive in an environment of intensive and clinically sophisticated treatment, health and wellness education, equine therapy, academics, and experiential life-skills training.
